a mix of tradition and modernity
There’s a breathtaking place on the eastern shore of Lake Como called Torno. Here is where Il Sereno Hotel stands today. In 2016, the New York Times labelled this hotel as “one of the 25 best hotels to visit”.
Il Sereno Hotel was designed by Patricia Urquiola and is a mix of tradition and modernity, incorporating the Lake’s unparalleled beauty.
The outdoors feature a wonderful vertical garden rich in awe-inspiring botanical sculptures crafted by Frenchman Patrick Blanc and a beautiful infinity pool. Here, the authenticity of solid wood is the right frame to enhance the harmony of this place. For this purpose, Ravaioli Legnami provided customised heat-treated ash wood with concealed milling.
